Asset Integrity Engineer

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer to join our Energy team and be part of our journey helping the New Zealand energy sector transition to a greener more sustainable model.

Day to day you will be required to develop, update, and analyse inspection and integrity data for pressure vessels, pressure systems and pressure piping.  You will utilise your skills and knowledge to complete fitness for services assessments, FEA , inspection and repair plans to ensure safety and integrity of operational equipment is maintained. 

We are looking for a motivated, solutions-focused individual  who can develop out of the box solutions to complex problems. Someone who thrives on working collaboratively with internal project and technical teams and can build a good rapport with clients.  

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, including corrosion or metallurgy engineering
  • 5+ years of oil & gas, energy sector experience
  • An understanding of NDT techniques and in-service application of NDT
  • Thorough understanding of defect assessment techniques in accordance with relevant codes/standards and API 579
  • Thorough knowledge of pressure vessel and pipework design and inspection codes of practice
  • Pipe stressing and analysis software experience (AutoPIPE or equivalent)
  • Pressure vessel design and analysis software experience (PVelite or equivalent)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
