The Result

Project is on-going as budgets become available.  Key milestones have been met throughout the project.

Te Awa will travel 70km along New Zealand’s longest and largest river from Ngaruawahia to Lake Karapiro and south to Waikato river trails.  3.0m wide concrete path and timer boardwalks give safe and scenic views of the Waikato River and surrounding farmland.

It also will be functional for cyclists commuting from town to town and will join up with facilities such as the Avatidrome, Lake Karapiro and soon Mystery Creek.
