Mystery Creek HQ

The Challenge

BCD Group Ltd provided design expertise in the construction of the New Mystery Creek Headquarters. BCD Group Ltd provided Structural, Civil and Geotechnical services alongside Chow Hill Architects as part of a $4 million  development.  

The new Headquarters, constructed by Fletchers  consists of a predominantly open plan office environment with a number of conference facilities in a total of approximately 1000m2 of a building footprint.  

The building was constructed 6m from a relatively large escarpment on the mystery creek site, which meant that specific foundation design and high wind forces had to be accounted for.

The Result

The initial architectural scheme was taken through to developed design and at this stage identified as over budget. BCD along with the rest of the design team agreed to redesign the building in order to meet budget at no additional charge.  

The building reached completion in April 2013 and was designed within budget to a high standard, resulting in a successful project for all involved
